Maria Hutchings Selected by Eastleigh Conservatives

Local champion Maria Hutchings was selected last night as the Conservative Party candidate for the Parliamentary by-election in Eastleigh.

Maria Hutchings said:

"I’m delighted to be the Conservative candidate for Eastleigh and hope to be the best local MP we’ve ever had. Although I may not be a professional politician, I’m a straight talking business woman and mother of four who lives in the local area.

“Having fought the Council’s badly thought out plans for inappropriate development, I know what local people in the area care about. We need a local MP we can trust – someone who will support people who work hard and do the right thing.

“That’s particularly true during these difficult times. My family knows what it’s like to watch every penny as the bills hit the doormat. I will offer a strong voice in Westminster for the concerns of hard working people in Eastleigh”.

Conservative Party Chairman Grant Shapps MP said:

“Maria Hutchings will be a brilliant local MP that people in Eastleigh can trust. She is already working hard for local people and is in tune with the community.

“I’m looking forward to joining her on the doorstep.”

  2. Sorry but she is a Tory/Conservative she will not give you the voice you need to save Eastleigh and no matter how nice she may be by voting for her Eastleigh people will just be getting the same as they have had in the past. LibLabCons have made a mess of our country . remember How the Ford factory closed and the Tories along with the EU gave a grant to Turkey to build a Ford factory - Think positive a vote for UKIP is a vote for UKIP and Britain our country needs UKIP in power to give us a voice. Vote UKIP a vote for UKIP in Eastleigh is a giant leap for the future of Britain- UKIP will give us the voice we need we need

  3. A vote for UKIP will split the vote and let the LbDem in, whereas a vote for Maria will give a voice in parliament for the sort of policies you want.

The only difference that I can discern is that she is NOT a libertarian.

Oh, and she knows where the constituency boundaries are.

I would make the point, which I do on the doorstep over and over again, that we don't have a Conservative government, so we have had to do all sorts of things to appease the LibDems, such as the payments to the EU and the renewable energy policy that will lead to power cuts once our nuclear power stations have to be decommissioned. However, we don't go as far as UKIP in denying that there is no global warming when there is incontrovertible that there is, although not as great a problem as the doomsayers.
